Vice President of Secondary Relations: Lauren Trygstad, Lakeville North High School
What’s up HOSA peps! My name is Lauren Trygstad and this is my second year as a VP for MN HOSA. I am the proud President of Lakeville North High School’s HOSA program, where I help my 120 members unlock their potential. I hope to one day become an Emergency Medicine Physician, and be able to help those in need. Now onto the fun information, I am the oldest of three and have two younger brother. I am considered the mom friend of my friend group, I write music, and am in a nationally renowned choir, where I sing 1st soprano aka VERY HIGH. Other fun facts are that I am allergic to jeans and Hand Sanitizer, among other things, and I consider HOSA people my family!
Vice President of Post-Secondary Relations: Sena Geleto, Coon Rapids High School
Hello Minnesota HOSA! My name is Sena Geleto and I have the honor of serving as the VP of Post-Secondary Relations. I am also serving as President at my local chapter, Coon Rapids High School. I am a Senior at Coon Rapids but also do PSEO at North Hennepin Community College, where I will not only be finishing with my highschool diploma but also my Associate's degree by Spring 2021! My future plans are to be a student at U of M-Twin Cities and become a Naturopathic Doctor, where I can combine my passion for both eastern and western medicine. Some fun facts about me are that I speak 5 languages and I'm the oldest of 3 siblings, one brother and one sister. In my free time I read, paint and knit (I know I'm such an old lady!) Since quarantine I've also been doing a lot of cooking and baking. I'm excited for another amazing year with MN HOSA!
Vice President of Middle School Relations: David Wilkens, Burnsville High School
Hello everyone! My name is David Wilkens and I am a senior at Burnsville High School. I joined HOSA because of my love and interest of the medical field. One day I would like to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner so that I can give one-on-one care to patients. A lot of the activities I enjoy consist of being outside. I love to go kayaking, hiking, and camping whenever I get the opportunity. When I am not outside, I enjoy watching Netflix and reading books.
Public Relations: Chau-Mi Phan, Lakeville North High School
My name is Chau-Mi Phan and I am a senior at Lakeville North High School as well as a PSEO student at Inver Hills Community College. I plan on studying neuroscience and behavior for undergrad and going on to become an optometrist. My favorite part of HOSA is being a part of the amazing tight knit community that we have and meeting tons of great people. When I’m not working on school and HOSA you can usually find me in a theatre production, playing instruments, singing, or creating art. A couple more fun facts are that I have 4 older siblings, I love coffee and sushi, and I’m extremely excited to be a part of the 2020/2021 MN HOSA state officer team!
Secretary: Tharun Inturi, Shakopee High School
I am a senior at Shakopee High School this year, this is my 3rd year being in HOSA, and I am very excited to serve as your state secretary this year! I have a huge passion for the medical field, and my ultimate goal is to become a physician one day. Outside of HOSA, I am an avid tennis player, competing in many tournaments throughout the year. I also am a part of my school’s speech team, Wind Ensemble, National Honor Society, and several other activities. I’m excited for a great year!
