3rd Annual MN HOSA MRC Camp

EDUCATE - PREPARE - ACTION

MN HOSA conducted it's 3rd Annual Medical Reserve Camp December 10-12, 2015 at Camp Ripley in Little Falls, MN.
With the help of the Department of Health-Emergency Preparedness and Response, CDC, Homeland Security, Department of Human Services, MN National Guard, OEC in Spring Lake Park and some Dedicated HOSA Advisors, over 60 HOSA members were trained in response, action and educated in leadership, diversity and communications during the time of disasters and community emergencies.
All students attending received over 5 certificates of training including First Aid, CPR, DRAT, ICS 100 & 200, Psychological First Aid, and Tactical Communications during a disaster. All the training over the 3 day camp was put to the test in a 10 scenario drill to wrap up the camp on Saturday.
With this event- students will now be working on their own projects teaching to others and volunteering in in their communities to keep them prepared and safe.
The plans for the 4th annual camp are already in progress.
